Training on Building Strategic Development Plan

On March 20 2018, An Giang University in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Higher Education Management (Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City) organised a training workshop on building strategic development plan.

Attending the workshop were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Thang – Rector of An Giang University, Mr. Le Quoc Cuong – Vice Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Dat – Vice Rector, and Heads of school divisions.

Representing Vietnam National University (VNU) were Dr. Le Thanh Long – Head of the Institute of Higher Education Management, Mr. Bui Le Vu – Chief Officer of the Institute of Higher Education Management.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Minh, former Vice Director and current senior advisor of VNU, Ho Chi Minh City was the workshop trainer. He shared the core elements of a strategic development plan such as how to implement strategic development plan, identity vision, mission, and core values, SWOT analysis and solutions analysis.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Thang – Rector of An Giang University stated that building the strategic development plan is an important mission but not always easy to accomplish. In the process of becoming a member of VNU, An Giang University would soon present its strategic development plan to VNU and the Prime Minister for consideration. The strategic development plan of the school must align with the development and standards of VNU. To accomplish this, An Giang University collaborated with the Institute of Higher Education Management organised the training for Heads of school divisions to start building the strategic development plans for their divisions and form the basis for the comprehensive strategic development plan of the school. An Giang University Rector sincerely thanked the Institute of Higher Education Management for holding this training workshop.
