Within two days of January 21st and 22nd 2019, Assoc. Prof. Vo Van Thang - Rector of An Giang University, along with the mission led by Prof. Dr. Phung Xuan Nha - the Minister, attended Ministry of Education and Training’s activities at World Education Forum in the United Kingdom.
On the agenda of the journey of visiting and working with Swansea University (United Kingdom), Assoc. Prof. Vo Van Thang - Rector of An Giang University - had a formal discussion about the content of cooperation between An Giang University and Swansea University.
Within framework of the cooperation between An Giang University (AGU) and Australian National University (ANU), the Research Center for Rural Development (RCRD), AGU organized the Fourth Vietnam Field school program in 2019 for 33 ANU students to learn about culture and environment.
On December 12 2018, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Thang, Rector of An Giang University together with Leaders from External Relations Office, Resource center for Community Development had a meeting with delegation from Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Hong Kong PolyU).
The meeting is to discuss cooperating to carry out community service learning programs for students of both sides.

On December 7th 2019, Assoc.Prof. Vo Van Thang - Rector of An Giang University attended the Global Human Resources Forum 2018 organized in Hanoi by Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training and South Korea’s Ministry of Education in coordination with the Vietnam Economic Times.
On December 8th 2018 at An Giang University (AGU), a program was organized by the AGU together with Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ) and the Saigon Times Foundation (STF) to connect PNJ Company and AGU students with the theme "Spreading the Golden Faith"
Giving scholarships to 20 students
On December 4th 2018, a conference was organized by the An Giang Province department of Industry and Trade to launch the model for pork and vegetable management, identification and traceability. The center for Information and Communication Technology (CICT) of An Giang University (AGU) was the consulting unit and software developer for the models.
On November 25th 2018, An Giang University in collaboration with the An Giang province’ Association for Learning Promotion solemnly organized the An Giang Lottery Scholarship Award Ceremony (Phase 1) in academic year 2018-2019
On November 22nd 2018, Assoc. Prof. Vo Van Thang, Rector of An Giang University (AGU) together with unit leaders had a meeting with Representatives from National Quemoy University (NQU).
Representing NQU, Prof. Yen Yu-Fang, Dean of Office of International and Cross-Strait Affairs, had an introduction about the NQU as well as potential fields that the two universities can implement cooperation. On this occasion, the two universities also discussed programs taught in English and exchange programs for lecturers and students.
