On 17 November 2018 at Meeting Room 2, An Giang University held a workshop on Preservation and Promotion of Cham Culture in Promoting An Giang Tourism chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Thang – Rector of An Giang University.
Attending the workshop were Dr. Phu Van Han – Deputy Head of the Institute of Social Sciences in Southern Vietnam, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chi – Deputy Head of An Giang Association of Entrepreneurs, and researchers.
An Giang University Staff Union celebrated the 16th Sports Games on 18/11/2018 with Tug – of – war, Bag jumping games and Marathon for its staff from 19 unions.
For the marathon game for men, Nguyen Huynh Thuan (Union 4) won the First Prize, Dao Chanh Thuc (Union 13) won the Second Prize, and Lam Minh Tri (Union 4) won the Third Prize. For the marathon game for women, Pham Yen Nhi (Union 7) won the First Prize, Nguyen Thi Thu Thao (Union 5) won the Second Prize, and Nguyen Ngoc Anh Thu (Union 2) won the Third Prize.
On 16 November 2018, An Giang University in cooperation with Fuji Foundation, Vietcombank and Sacombank held a scholarship awarding ceremony for 40 disadvantaged students of the school.
Attending the event were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai – Vice Rector, Ms. Duong Thoai Uyen – Deputy Director of Vietcombank in An Giang, Heads of Faculty of Education, Students Affairs Office, and 40 scholarship recipients.
On 15 November 2018, professors of HZ University of Applied Sciences and HAN University of Applied Sciences (The Netherlands) visited An Giang University for a workshop on implementing cooperation projects of the institutions.
Attending the meeting were representatives of An Giang departments, Can Tho University, Center for Water Management and Climate Change – Vietnam National University, HCMC
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Thang led a delegation of An Giang University together with delegations led by Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc and other delegations of universities in Vietnam on a business trip to South Korea from 5 November 2018 to 9 November 2018.
On 5 November 2018, the delegation attended a conference on Global Human Resource co-organized by South Korea Ministry of Education, Korean Economic Daily, and Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training.
To implement the project on “Assistance Policies on National Innovative Startup Ecosystem to 2025” (Project 844) of the Prime Minister, National Agency for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Development collaborated with An Giang Department of Science and Technology and An Giang University to organize the workshop on “Cooperation in building innovative startup ecosystem in the Mekong Delta”.
On 26 October 2018, An Giang University hosted the Opening Ceremony and Final Round of the competition on “Talents in innovative startups in Mekong Delta 2018” organized by Ministry of Science and Technology and People’s Committee of An Giang Province.
The competition was to seek talented individuals and organizations with outstanding startup projects in all business disciplines; projects that supported local primary development strengths were strongly encouraged.
