On 26 October 2018, An Giang University collaborated with The U.S. Consulate General Ho Chi Minh City to held a workshop on education and scholarship opportunities in the U.S.
Attending the workshop were Mr. Matthew Alexander Ference – Public Affairs Officer of The U.S. Consulate General, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai – Vice Rector of An Giang University, Ms. Phan Thi Hong Man – EducationUSA Advisor, Ms. Le Thi Kim Muon – Cultural Affairs Assistant, staff and students of An Giang University.
To help the staff and students develop research skills, An Giang University held a workshop on Research Methods on October 24th at Meeting Room 2.
Attending the workshop were Heads and Deputy Heads of An Giang University Offices, lecturers, and students. The workshop was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Lam – Lecturer of Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
On October 20th, 2018, An Giang University (AGU) celebrated AGU Student Connection Festival 2018, attracting thousands of student participants.
In this 2018 – 2019 academic year, AGU welcomed over 2.000 new students, and this event was to enhance students’ unity and provide them with an exciting playground.
On October 15th, 2018, An Giang University held the Ceremony of Leadership Appointment at faculty level chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Thang - Secretary of the School Party Committee and Rector of An Giang University with the attendance of Rector Board, Heads, and Deputy Heads of school divisions.
At the ceremony, Rector Vo Van Thang presented the Decision and flowers to congratulate Ms. Phan Thi Thanh Huyen on her appointed leadership at Faculty of Foreign Languages.
On October 11th, 2018, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Thang – Rector of An Giang University attended the Tenth University Presidents’ Forum WTA (World Technopolis Association) co-organised by Eastern International University and Chungnam National University (Korea) in Binh Duong.
On October 12th, 2018, Faculty of Tourism, Culture and Arts cooperated with Faculty of Information Technology to hold the International Workshop on “The Implementation of Fourth Industrial Revolution to Develop Tourism in An Giang” with nearly 100 attendants.
On October 11th, 2018, Mr. Le Quoc Cuong – Vice Rector of An Giang University and Heads, Deputy Heads of faculties, centers, offices, and library had a meeting with Professors from Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering, University of Florida (USA) for cooperation, consultation and organisation of International Conference on the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The meeting was to continue the implementation of MOU in education and research between the two schools signed in early 2018.
On October 9th, 2018, An Giang University held a training workshop on Quality Assurance based on AUN-QA Standards and Evaluation of Staff Capacity based on KPIs led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Minh – Chief Assessor and Member of AUN-QA Committee, former Vice Rector and Chair of Quality Assurance Committee of Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.
On October 8th, 2018, An Giang University held a conference on “Procedures in developing exam question banks and student recruitment in 2019 – 2020 academic year” chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Thang – Secretary of the School Party Committee and the Rector of the school.
