As part of MOU signing between An Giang University and Okayama University (Japan), Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources of An Giang University invited speakers from Okayama University for information sharing session on “Building farming policies and evaluating consumers’ ethics in ecological farming” for almost 100 lecturers and students of the faculty on 24/05/2018.
On 23/05/2048, Faculty of Tourism, Arts, and Culture in collaboration with Office of External Affairs invited Prof. Detlef Briesen of Giessen University (Germany) for an information sharing session on “Human resource demands in Tourism industry in Germany”.
The workshop aimed to provide the lecturers of Faculty of Tourism, Arts, and Culture with information on human resource demands in international tourism industry, innovations in training programs in Tourism, and practical information about tourism in Europe, especially in Germany for the students of the faculty.
On May 23rd 2018, officer of Vietnamese Fulbright Scholar Program had a meeting with An Giang University staff for an introduction to program eligibility, criteria, and themes for prospective candidates.
Vietnamese Fulbright Scholar Program is one of the Fulbright programs in Vietnam to send Vietnamese scholars to lecture and research at American universities and institutions from 5 to 9 months.
On May 21st 2018, An Giang University in collaboration with West Virginia University (WVU), USA organised the Opening Ceremony of the The 13th annual training workshop on Social Work and Community Health Services.
The workshop is to provide the participants with research outcomes in Social Work and Community Health Services and skills to practice community health services for staff, and students of An Giang University, social workers and officials from non-governmental organisations.
On May 9 th 2018, the Research Committee of An Giang University evaluated the research proposal entitled “Making ready-to-use premixes for fish rice noodle soup” of Mr. Nguyen Duy Tan – Lecturer in Food Technology, Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
The research aimed at exploring the process of making ready-to-use premixes for fish rice noodle soup in accordance with food safety issues of the Ministry of Health.
On May 9 th 2018, the Research Committee of An Giang University evaluated the research proposal entitled “An evaluation and comparison of Asen (As) and Cadimi (Cd) absorbability reduction of Arachis Hypogaea using lime and coconut fiber” of Dr. Nguyen Van Chuong – Lecturer in Plant Science, Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
On May 17 th 2018, An Giang University and Elsevier Publisher co-organised a workshop on using ScienceDriect, Scopus database and enhancing writing skills for international journal publications. The workshop provided lecturers, researchers, and postgraduate students of An Giang University with essential writing skills for publications in international journals with high Impact Factor in ISI and Scopus system as well as to search for high-quality journal articles.
On May 11th 2018, An Giang University had a meeting with Mr. Alexander Kopriwa – Vice Chairman of Areopa Group International with the participation of Heads of External Relations Office, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Research Center for Rural Development, and Resource Center for Community Development.
