On May 10th 2018, An Giang University and Areopa Group co-organised a workshop on “Synthesis and Classification of Intellectual Capital (IC) and IC Accounting”.

Attending the workshop were Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Xuan – Vice Dean of Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Mr. Nguyen Dang Khoa – Vice Dean of Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Mr. Nguyen Truc Lam – Director of Social Sciences and Humanities Research Center and about 50 staff and students.

On May 9th 2018, An Giang University collaborated with International Youth Fellowship (IYF) and An Giang Union of Friendship Organisations to hold the Mind Education program for over 500 students.

Mind Education program is organised by IYF for students worldwide to improve students’ skills and awareness through numerous activities; the program is also a cultural exchange opportunity for the purpose of “Changes – Challenges – Fellowship”

On May 11th 2018, An Giang University organised the workshop on “Teacher Education Models in Australia and ASEAN countries” presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Dat – Vice Rector of An Giang University.

The workshop was to provide teachers involved in curriculum and program development with useful information to review and modify learning outcome standards, full-time undergraduate programs responding to the demands of the society.

On April 28th 2018, Department of Literature – Faculty of Education, An Giang University held a workshop on “Issues in Literature, Linguistics, and Literature Education in accordance with high school educational reform”.

Following the Plan for 2017 – 2018 academic year, on April 21st 2018, the Center for Foreign Languages held a workshop to introduce foreign language programs and provide orientation for An Giang University students in learning a foreign language. The workshop was to increase students’ awareness of the role of learning a foreign language, the methods, and the current program at the Center.

In strengthening school organisation, on May 7th 2018, An Giang University celebrated Ceremony of Staff Appointment with the attendance of the Party representatives, Rector Board, and Heads of the school units.

Chairing the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Thang – Rector presented the Decisions of Staff Appointment and flowers to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Trung Thanh appointed to be Vice Dean of Faculty of Technology and Environment and Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Loan appointed to be Vice Director of An Giang University Library.

On April 21st 2018, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, An Giang University held a workshop on “Training accountants in the global economic integration era”.

On April 21st 2018, a conference to review and update learning outcomes and curriculum was held at An Giang University with the attendance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Thang – Rector of the school, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Dat – Vice Rector, and approximately 150 staff of the Academic and Research Committee, Heads/Deputy Heads of the school units and the curriculum development teams.

On April 20th 2018, the Academic and Research Committee of An Giang University held a meeting to evaluate the project proposal entitled “Developing educational problem – solving skills for students of the Faculty of Education, An Giang University – Practices and Solutions” of Ms. Tran Thi Huyen – Deputy Head of the Department of Educational Psychology, Faculty of Education (project leader).

From 11/4 to 18/4/2018, the An Giang University Chemistry team took part in the 10th National Chemistry Olympiad 2018 at the School of Chemical Engineering, Ha Noi University of Science and Technology.

The National Chemistry Olympiad is held every two years by Vietnam Chemistry Association in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, and Vietnam Students Association.
